It could be due to not eating that it is ill/stressed, or it could be not eating cause it is ill.

Personally, I wouldn't be expecting a copper band to feed on flake food unless itr has a proven history of eagerly taking it.

They are well known to be fussy eaters. Try to tempt with a variety of live food (not just brine-shrimp but stuf like live mysis or copepods).

But, as always, checking the water condition is correct goes without saying.

I'm not sure how long you have had your tank set-up, but this would be one of the fish that I would (when I did keep them) add to a well-established tank.

Lovely fish should have been intro into a tank at least over 2 years old, another wild caught fish ive been told they are very hard to keep . I have had experience with fussy eaters and what ive done is to get easier to feed fish becuase after a few years keeping them you want a tank that only takes a couple of minutes per day anything longer ;) u'll only sell it in years to come because alot of hassel. Who advise you on a copperband? in a new tank?
