Hi Chris

Maybe a UPS will suffice?

All you really need to run is the return pump or a powerhead, the powerhead will consume less and will probably run for longer.

I am curious anyway to see if anyone else has any other suggestions.

Maybe plan a water change, and do half before and half after.
Don't feed for a couple of days before and a day after.
Buy some PolyFilter as a just-in-case, plus some bacteria in a bottle.........and monitor ammonia levels

But.....really, 4 hours is not too long so long as you are not overstocked.

ours was off from 9am till 5 pm last week once you have good water change before hand and make sure the tank is up to tempature before the power goes off you wont have to worry for 4 hours you be better off away from the house when the power cut happens.
