I can't find a one but is there an area for members to alert other members of deals and bargains be it on adverts.ie,done deal or other locations? Sponsors could advertise there too....

The reason why you will not find the area you are looking for is that there isn't one.
It is the policy of the Forum to not publicise non-Sponsors - especially in the light of the amount of Fish shops which have had to close in fairly recent times due to the 'economy'. Those which remain during these difficult times are those which deserve Forum promotion.
It should be added that many of these advertisers on the sites you refer to are not fully business-registered and do not pay VAT either.
The Sponsors were good to us in better times and so it should be not unreasonable for them not to see non-sponsors being promoted during these less-good trading times here.
