Arcadia Classica LED T8 conversion.

I think Ians link gave better info regarding adaptors.
My question is what is an electronic ballast exactly ? Is that not the ballast that we would associate with Juwel lighting ?
Price wise, if they last twice as long but are 2.5 times the price then are we not in the same boat factoring in electricity consumption ?
There were figures of 5 times better amd 70% brighter? But only 2 times longer lasting.

You're right - they don't explain the differences between the two types of ballast units and really I think this is essential to be explained - from what I can glean from the articles it appears that if your ballast unit uses a starter then the LED conversion unit will not work.
Perhaps someone better versed in matters electrical can shed some light (sorry - dreadful unintended pun) on the subject?
