Bill created the topic: Glassworm
Winter Glassworm season has started.
Is anyone interested in buying live Glassworm, Bloodworm (large and small) or Tubifex?
I'm not trying to compete with Seahorse or any other shop but I know how frustrating it can be buying those €1.00 bags of live food. If you have quite a few fish in a tank they don't go very far, even more so if you are breeding.
I'm not sure of prices yet. Possibly:
50g (ex-water) Glassworm = €7.00
50g (ex-water) Small Bloodworm (5mm - 10mm) = €3.50
50g (ex-water) Large Bloodworm (15mm - 30mm) = €8.50
50g (ex-water) Tubifex = €7.00
Minimum amount supplied = 10g at prices to be sorted.
P&P has to be added, probably around €2.00 by An Post for 50g (dewatered).
Live food up to 40g will be sent in water, while 50g upwards will be sent de-watered in damp paper to save P&P.
I might also be able to source Blackworms; they will be supplied in sealed bags.

Please note, I'm not running a business or making profit, I only want to provide a service.
Send a PM if interested (but tell me here if you PM me as I don't get PM notifications and I might miss your message) and we can sort something.
50g of Bloodworm or Glassworm feeds (in my case feeding once per day with live food and once per day with my dry food) 7 pairs of breeding Bettas and about 15 - 20 stock fish of Gourami, Betta and Livebearers for 1 week.

My apologies, folks. I've quoted Euro instead of Sterling. With the week pound I think 50c added to the above prices will sort it. If not I'll bear the excess myself, but I should be able to sort it next order, Monday 16th. My apologies again, my brain seems to be having a day off :)
Last Edit: 07 Oct 2017 14:21 by Bill. Reason: To amend prices.

Because it is live food I really need to know how much of what you need, I order it in weekly. It usually arrives on a Wednesday, occasionally a Thursday.

Let me know what you want as I need to put in my order on a Friday, Saturday at the latest.
Depending on where you are we can meet some place or I ca drop them off when passing.
Where are you?
Send me a PM and I'll logon again this evening.

Bill has been in touch and has asked me to let those members who have contacted him regarding the live foods know that as a result of a severe illness he hasn't been able to follow up on this subject but that - when he is back to full health - he will make contact with you all to see if you will still be looking for the live foods.
In the meantime he sends his most sincere apologies for appearing to 'let you down' but as everyone must understand he has been - and still is - most unwell.

I'm sure you will all want to join me in wishing Bill a speedy recovery.

Thanks for the good wishes, folks, I'm overwhelmed.
I'm on the mend now, although this is going to continue at a very slow pace. Hopefully I should be able to log in here more often now, albeit for only short times.
My apologies to those who were relying on me to organise live food, given some more time I should hope to get back to this in a couple of weeks.

Hi Bill,

I hope all is well with you ....

Are you still supplying live food cultures?

Would be interested in some blackworms if you can provide.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Kommc,
Apologies for the late reply.
Unfortunately, I'm not yet back to normal and won't be getting in a supply until New Year.
I apologise for the delay to everyone waiting but my illness in knocking me out for longer than expected. It appears that E-coli does a lot more than make you sick. While I am improving, slowly, it is going to take time.
I'll keep updating the post, but I am hoping to be back to near normal after Christmas.
Apologies again.
Bill
