Hi my name is CJ and I'm living in Galway. I just recently bought 6 African Malawi Cichlids for my new tropical tank. I also have a cold water tank with a Japanese Fighting Fish, a White Cloud Mountain Minnow and a Chinese Butterfly Fish.

CJ,
I'm not sure what you are meaning by 'Japanese' Fighting Fish, but if it is actually what we know as a 'Siamese' Fighting Fish, then it really is not suited to a coldwater tank.
If this is what you have please take steps to heat its tank.

I just wondered (after writing this) if you actually have a 'Paradise' Fish, these are moderately similar, but far more suited to an unheated tank, although would still need to be kept at room temperature.
