Does anyone have any interesting DIY filter systems they've constructed? I'm not talking simple homemade sponge filters or DIY under tank sump systems. I'm thinking more creative type. Anyone?

Check out the king of DIY on you tube. He can make almost anything for aquariums.

Sounds like an idea. I have 2 tanks I could use it on.

He's already my guru
I'm big into making DIY filtration systems lately. I can customize them entirely to my needs, they're cheap to make and cheap to fix. Probably the best part of it is the fun if figuring them out and the satisfaction of knowing I made it myself. I also feel like I'm really learning more about filtration by doing these myself.

If you scroll up in the DIY section you'll see my post about a current DIY project for my little 20 liter.
I'm making one out of clay in the shape of a tree.
It will be using the aerator to lift the water up into the build in over head filter.
