Anybody feed their tropical fish pond sticks, obviously use them in conjunction with flake food and veg. Would work out a lot cheaper as you get a lot of food for a more competitive price, recession feeding maybe........

Tempting I'm sure Mick but it can't be good news in the long term. I'm just thinking out loud here but I would have imagined that fish in warmer water have higher metabolisms therefore needing a more nutritional food than boggo standard pond flakes. The difference between a big Koi and ,say a tetra or cichlid is as big as the difference between a cat and a dog or a cow and a badger!... now they need very different diets!

...Maybe pondfood isn't as bad for feeding goldfish in an aquarium but I wouldn't touch it for trops!

I remember someone asked this before... As far as i remember pond sticks are high in protein n fatty stuff so its not great for smaller tropical fish on a regular basis... fish might get bloat n all that... im sure someone will have a more detailed answer..

This is sparta!!!! (sry was watching 300 yesterday n i have 300 posts:laugh: )
