Separating a Mammy Krib from her new young..

So my Mammy Krib is being extremely aggressive towards the Cherry Barbs she is housed with..I can see her doing damage..If i rehoused her temporarily (to diffuse the aggression) and separated her from the young would Dad continue the brood care without her?

It's not totally certain that he would - it really does become the mother's role with Kribs and the maternal instinct is very strong.
Could you not remove the other inhabitants? (You might even need to remove the male as sometimes they get perceived to be a danger by the mother, although sometimes he gets 'tolerated' and is even allowed a bit of 'minding' activity).

I would agree with John, Kribs are great parents and the barbs are seen as a threat, I'd take out the barbs.
