Pelvicachromis subocellatus "Matadi" update

I've only had them since yesterday but it's starting to look increasingly like out of my three new Matadi that I might have a pair. The male has coloured up some, esp on his fins. He's following the larger one of the females around the tank in a non-violent but very eager kind of way, while she seems to be trying to politely ignore him.

Unfortunately this has been at the expense of the smaller female who is now in an overflow breeding trap recovering. She's not beaten up too much, just a little frayed and fraught looking. It'll be interesting to see what happens over the next few days.

Cichlids... not always easy but at least never boring...
