Was wondering on what diy systems foke are using for lighting planted aquariums and is there anyone using led flood lights like this guy is using. I know some foke use gu10's but I dont know if they are strong enough for my tank since its 20 inches deep.

For diy check derekmolloy.ie webpage.
If you want to buy a good led lighting the tmc tiles are worth every penny.I have mine for nearly 2 years now and itis doing great.
Another brand which came highly recommended to me was aqualighter, not available in Ireland but you will find it on the web.

I completely agree with Anthony TMC tiles are very good. Have a AquaRay Mini LED 400 on a 60l shrimp tank and just bought a second one for a 70l shrimp tank. Any plants i have in the shrimp tank do very well. Low power consumption and no need to change bulbs.

Replied by Lauris (Lauris) on topic Led lighting
I'm using LED beamswork on my Nano aquariums
They are brilliant. If I ever go for a size around 100L and
if I will look for led', it will be one of the best budged options
to go. have no issues with the light. they have some in sizes
and LED output up to 4000Lumens. I have 1000L in my
19L Fuval and it does a great job for monteCarlo and Cuba,
tank is about 30cm deep and light is raised for another 12cm
on my tank

take a look in this topic. You will see few examples what I achieved
with 1000Lumens (30L tank) and 600L (19L tank)
