anyone any experience with this plant ,I brought two small bulbs from ebay, in the tank 4 weeks now no sign of anything happening . Was in Seahorse yesterday and saw some the bulbs were much bigger than mind and already had a few leaves so purchased two of them 10 euro each . I understand that they are very hardy and don't require much light . incidently Darron said the bulbs can take months to sprout . so anyone any experience of these .

Reasonably quick and large and to the water surface...its a good idea to prune the larger leaves that are nearing the surface..this encourages more compact growth lower down..if ya let the leaves reach the surface it tends to stop sending out newer shoots...prune it right at the base of the plant..this plant is also one of the only red plants that doesnt require special conditions
