Does anybody know or think if these Anubias plants are about to flower or not?

As I understand it Ed, Anubias are actually a terrestrial bog plant which we choose to grow in a submerged state.
They produce flowers - my guess being in readiness for when the water drops (in nature) and they become emerse again.
This isn't a definite - merely supposition on my part. but I have never understood why they produce flowers under water and I came to this conclusion.

Maybe a member with more knowledge of plants can tell us exactly why?

Check to see if they are solid like buds or are actually wrapped which is a new leaf.
