Hi guys
I have high nitrate level in my tap water ^20ppm and I'm have algae problem's when using lights more than 5hrs I'm getting green algae on glass and when using lights less than 4hrs I'm getting brown algae on everything, I think it may be silicate in the tap water as well.

I'm going to use RO water to mix with the tap water but I am not sure how much to use (25-35%) have any of you used RO water like this, if so what level is safe to mix.

Thanks

Mix different ratios in a bucket and see what happens...

Start at 50 / 50....Theoretically this should halve your NitrAtes....

Just remember RO water will affect PH (It lowers it) To get a true PH reading of the water you mix in a bucket let it sit for 24 hours to expel gases...
