How fast do they grow and what do you feed them?
Im considering a Piranha tank myself....Whats the minimum size tank you would recommend and can they be housed with any other fish at all? Like would they destroy plecos?

I have 10 red bellies in a 5' * 2' tank (4 3 yr olds and 6 2 yr olds)
Started off with 10 3 years ago but was only left with 4 of that shoal so got the six more. Better to get more when starting cos they do pick each other off when young.
They do grow pretty fast and i feed them pellets, squid and lance fish. Sometimes trout but it messes up the water.
I'd say you could get away with 4 or 5 in a 4' tank.
I've seen a few people keeping pleco's with them but i don't cause i'd say they'd have a miserable life in there.
Here's a current pic. They're not for everyone cos a lot of people find them boring but i love keeping them

I use to have a good few tanks on the go but nowadays I've just the one 480L and at the moment it's housing Tanganyikan Cichlids and of course 5-6 Ancistrus..........Before this I had a SA set up of the larger fish ie.Jack Dempsey,Oscar,Green Terror,Texas Cichlid etc. and before that I had Manacapuru Angels (they were stunners) and before that I had a large Tropheus colonly with a couple of Eel so I kind of jump continents regularly......Next might be Red Belly Piranha's but i'm saying this a while now so maybe not.....I kept 7 Sub-adult Piranha in the past but the set up was all wrong for them (got a chance to buy them cheap and I only had a 180L tank free but I stupidly bought them!!)......My worst mistake in fish keeping and it still bugs me so that's probably the main reason I want to keep them again!!
"Real" Angel's will always be my favorite though
